Debra Frost is Riverview's Latest Bridge Builder
By Michael Ward
Debra Frost, Cedarcrest High School Registrar, is the latest recipient of the Riverview School District's Bridge-Builder Award, given to those who help further the mission and goals of the Riverview School District. She was presented her Bridge Builder Pin at the February 25th Board Meeting by Dr. Anthony Smith.
The award consists of a lapel pin and poem given in memory of Donna Polacek, the district's Personnel Director, who always went the extra mile to give much more than was expected to the staff and students of Riverview.
Each recipient's pin is numbered and recorded commemoratively in a record book located in the Superintendent's Office. Beginning in 1997, 209 individuals have been named Bridge-Builders by the Riverview School District.
Superintendent Dr. Anthony Smith's nomination comments were as follows: "Registrars play a critical role in drop-out prevention and fiscal accountability for student enrollment. Debra has gone above and beyond, both at her home school and as a mentor for Kris Rodger at the Riverview Learning Center. She is efficient, effective and passionate toward students, staff, parents, and the community. Debra is an excellent role model and always communicates professionally."
The Riverview School District congratulates and thanks Debra Frost for her continued hard work and dedication to our Riverview community.
