WASA Community Recognition Award to Riverview Resident, Sue Linnerooth
The Washington Association of School Administrators (WASA) presented their Community Recognition Awards on May 16, 2008 to outstanding volunteers from each school district in King County. Sue Linerooth, representing the Riverview School District, is shown here receiving her honor from Conrad Robertson, Riverview Superintendent and Monte Bridges, Superintendent of the Puget Sound Educational Service District.
Conrad Robertson said in his presentation address:
As a community volunteer, it would be difficult to surpass the dedication, compassion and energy of Sue Linnerooth.
Sue has been active in many aspects of the Duvall and Carnation community as well as the Riverview School District for many years. She was the Youth Chair for the Duvall Rotary in 2004 where she created the Student of the Month program. This wonderful program supports and highlights deserving Riverview high school students each month. She is also an integral part of the Youth Exchange Program, Interact Service Club and is currently the Duvall Rotary President.
Her service to the Riverview School District is just as impressive and extensive. Sue has held positions within our schools over the years such as: Carnation Elementary Reflections Chairperson 2001; Chairman of the Walk A Thon 2001 and 2002; Tolt Middle School PTSA Board Member 2004 and 2005, and Vice President 2006. She has participated in the Cedarcrest Vocational Curriculum Committee from 2006 to present, and is also currently on the Carnation Site Council serving since 2005.
Along with her many hours of volunteer service, Sue also supports our schools through her generous donations from a percentage of her Real Estate sales totaling $47,000 in the past 7 years.
Strong leadership skills, matched with a heart full of compassion for children and her community make Sue Linnerooth a vital and cherished community volunteer.
